OK, I ne'er thought I'd be posting in a story about a rottweiler, since I am more of a "cat- person," but here's one I find rather amusing.
My husband and I have been married almost 27 years, and over the years have possessed various different dogs. Our dog of selection was a rottweiler dog but when we had children we never seemd to have enough money left over to afford one.
In the last year I took early retirement and decided it was time Stephen got his rotweiler and since Stephen is on the way for weeks at a time. I thought he would appreciate a dog.
We called one of our rottweilers Sandy and often took him outside on short road trips so he would acquaint myself with his surroundings before we took him on the longer hauls.
"Stephen," as he was referred to when speaking to Sandy, decided it was too difficult bringing a young dog out with him, so she finished up staying home.
Thursday or Friday is one of our rottweiler puppies Sandys craziest day as he feels that Stephen will be coming back from his long truck hauls. I am confident your dog goes bananas when he sees you if you have been departed for a bit.
Sandy picks things up unbelievably fast as we found out one day. Stephen was minding his own business reading the papers when Sandy launched herself at him, it was like seeing Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. So this dog started to lick and drool all over Stephen, I was breaking my sides laughing.
Sandy goes bananas when visitors come over as it gives her a great chances to show people her repertoire of tricks. Her party trick is to veil behind the sofa then jump out when they are least expecting it. I have a bunch of other stories but I will forget them for another time.
